James Ford also performs as one half Simian Mobile Disco. The Klaxons' Klaxons producer asserts the band will be sticking to the "melodic" sound which took them the Mercury Prize but are taking it in a different direction. The band beat off competition from the likes of Amy Winehouse and Dizzee Lad to win the award in 2007 for their first album, Fables Of the future. At the event, vocalist Jamie Reynolds informed the BBC that they merited to beat Winehouse because she seemed to make a "retro record and we've made the most forward-thinking record". It is not in my power to chat them out of dressing up, they are pretty into it.

James Ford, who records and performs live as Simian Mobile Disco, is ready to work with Klaxons on the new record. He told Newsbeat : "I think they are still attempting to push forward so I don't believe it should sound too very like the last record." The Mercury judging panel described the album as an "ecstatic musical adventure". Ford recounted : "They're attempting to keep it melodic and vocal because that is one of their great robust points. "It's going to be actually exciting." But he added he had no control over the band's look which, last year, comprised of lots of gold, leather and chainmail. But he could miss the celebration on nine Sep due to his working commitments with Klaxons. He revealed : "I'd like to go but the timing isn't ideal." The stick puppets played the Reading and Leeds Holidays next weekend with Ford on drums.

James Ford hopes The Poser Jets will play at his marriage he is playing on the band's UK tour and recounted : "It's been great, the crowds have been singing along. "Alex Turner is kind of a name in his very own right and folk watch out for his stuff so there was a ton of support." Ford also exposed his very own band, SMD, are working on getting an album out towards the end of the year. He revealed : "We've already done a track with Gruff Rhys from the Super Hairy Animals, which is great, and one with Beth Ditto from The Gossip. "It's looking good so far." a large amount of work for a person who is also expecting to get married in Sep . Seemingly his friends, The Puzzle Jets, might be paying back some favours by playing at the marriage.

Don't expect to see pacifier-suckingw all-bouncers here, though : tey are just another few indie nerds in cardigans, vintage Nikes, and hair that is never been brushed.

Now then What's my opinion on this. The badn were first signed after posting xeperimental early tracks on MySpace that record label bosses heard through word-of-mouth.

OK if I'm saying the night flew by, and there might be most likely that each member of the group left the hall humming from the eperience, with the fitting closing lyrics ringing in their ears ; we cannot be the final, we will not be the final '. !
